Shirley is one of the most caring person I have met. Her dedication to the children and parents at the Elizabeth Foundation was wonderful to see. I shared an office next to her and witnessed the wonderful effect she had on parents immediately after their child had been diagnosed with a hearing impairment, they entered her office in tears and left with smile.
