Shirley was on the Committee of the Ewing Foundation when I joined in 2012. She was very welcoming, kind and helpful to me as a newcomer. From then on we generally sat next to each other at meetings sharing ideas and often chuckling about one thing or anther. I missed her a lot when she left Ewing mainly because of ill-health..
