It’s so devastating to hear of the loss of lovely Shirley . She was such a loving, caring and insightful woman who touched the lives of so many people. She gave the best hugs that made you feel so warm and secure; her presence alone made you feel that everything was going to be ok. Shirley epitomised inner strength and positivity; I can imagine her laughing, dancing and singing up there, willing all who knew and loved her to celebrate her life and make the most of their own lives. Shirley was such an inspiration. Us parents of deaf children would have been so lost without her in our hour of need; her legacy will live on in our children who have had, or will have, the benefit of the wonderful place she created. It was such a pleasure and a privilege to have had you in our lives Shirley. You will hold a special place in our hearts forever.
